Stormshield Network Security (SNS)
Stormshield Network Security (SNS) is the Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) range developed by Stormshield, a French company and subsidiary of Airbus Defence & Space. Positioned at the heart of European digital sovereignty, the SNS range covers the full spectrum of network protection needs — from very small businesses to national critical infrastructures and operators of vital importance.
Unlike US-based vendors subject to the Cloud Act and FISA, Stormshield operates exclusively under French and European law. All software development, hardware engineering, and support is carried out in France, guaranteeing an unbroken chain of trust.
One of the SNS range's most distinctive strengths is its unified firmware: a single codebase covers the entire appliance range, from entry-level models to high-performance appliances. This approach simplifies update management, ensures consistent security policies, and reduces the attack surface inherent to version fragmentation.
SNS appliances have obtained ANSSI Standard-level qualification, the most demanding certification awarded by the French National Cybersecurity Agency for civil security products in France. They are also qualified to handle EU Restricted and NATO Restricted classified information.

Stormshield Management Center (SMC)
Centralised management platform for administering all SNS appliances from a unified interface. Policy deployment, firmware updates, equipment status monitoring, and real-time multi-site configuration management. Ideal for distributed architectures with many remote sites.
Stormshield Log Supervisor (SLS)
Log collection, correlation, and analysis solution for security events generated by SNS appliances. Real-time dashboards, configurable alerts, compliance reports, and log archiving to meet regulatory requirements (GDPR, NIS2). Provides complete visibility into network activity and security incidents.
SNS-V Virtual Appliances
Stormshield also offers virtual appliances (SNS-V) for private cloud environments and virtualised infrastructures (VMware ESXi, Proxmox, Microsoft Hyper-V, KVM). These elastic appliances benefit from the same unified firmware and feature set as their physical counterparts, enabling consistent security policy across physical sites and sovereign cloud environments.
SNS-V appliances are particularly well-suited for hybrid architectures where some workloads migrate to Proxmox or Hetzner while retaining Stormshield perimeter protection.
